Pros
Major Hospital System, lots of lateral moves to other departments if your drive is to learn.
Cons
Pushed out knowledgeable LVN's in favor of magnet stat even after having a school to teach LVN's. Now runs it as a business instead of a place that takes care if the ill, injured and dying. They now call patients clients. Worst paying hospital in the system. Methodist is top of that. I am a highly trained ICU LVN that cannot get a job except as a medical assistant or work in a nursing home and I cannot live on that pay. They like to change things up just as the kinks get worked out. That is from people who have the job of making the hospital more efficient except it is not more efficient because more education training is required with all the constant changes. They have to look like they are improving things when they should be improving on more time spent with "client" and less, not more time charting.
