Pros
Workplace is friendly overall, and you are helping the community with a necessary and important service
Cons
Workplace is very disorganized, you don't know your schedule until 8 pm the night before meaning if you have early morning trips you will have to drive while very sleep deprived Very little communication with management. You will barely ever see the people you work for, 95 percent of the time you will only communicate with texts. You can't even call in to dispatch, they only allow other supervisors give them a phone call The company seems underfunded and cares about the big picture view rather than the actual individuals you are helping. You will often have to leave elderly people stranded or not be able to take them home if they are not following the rules perfectly or accidentally put the wrong address in the app, meaning they pay full price sometimes to not get to their destination. The office doesn't seem to mind people being late to their appointments or dropping people off somewhere without any way to get home. Very frequent clerical errors. The apps they use only function half the time meaning you will often be given incorrect addresses, or not be allowed to pick a client up until tech support can troubleshoot the app. You have to write down all your hours because sometimes trips won't be recorded and they will try to not pay you for those hours. Document everything, you have to stand up for yourself and be assertive Human Resources takes a very long time to get back to you and sometimes will not respond. I sent them two or three emails (They are usually not in the office so emails are the only way to talk to them) and they never got back to me. You have to advocate for yourself because no one will do it for you
