Pros

Remote, at least for now

Cons

A couple weeks ago, they put out a return to office mandate for 3 days a week for anyone within 30 miles of Cleveland. Other locations will follow suit. Today, they let go of 10% of our workforce. When I was hired, it was stressed almost daily during training that work life balance was something that they valued as a company. They implemented a new phone system that gives management better metrics, but people actually on the phone cannot even transfer... or have sound dampening. Benefits are very expensive and pay does not make up for it.

Pros

Nothing one thing I can think of.

Cons

Ha! Started out great. 9-5 Monday through Friday. My immediate supervisors were fantastic, open door policy and eager to help. Upper management was atrocious! Lied and very judgy. Was upset over a raise. Asked to meet up with my manager. She called me via teams chat and was chipper at first. When I told her why I wanted to meet - she immediately crossed her arms and her entire demeanor changed. I was a top performer but my raise was less than it was the previous year. I wanted to understand why. Her immediate response was “has someone told you what their raise was?!” Nobody told me anything. I was basing it solely off my previous years raise. She asked me to promise her if anyone did discuss their raise with me to let her know. She fed me some lies about why it was less. A bunch of lies. Was let go during a RIF with no notice at all - found out the day of (my last day). Their “compensation “ was literally my two final checks that I worked for and was entitled to! Lied to the others that didn’t get laid off. They swore to them that they took care of us. Again - lies! When I started with MSC they were great. New management came in along with the CEO changing and it went to hell almost instantly.
