So many cons:
First and foremost - they expect you to work 12 hour days ALL the time (for very little compensation). They are constantly pinging you to jump on a call 5 min before your day ends. You never have time for lunch - ever. They expect you to work through lunch and schedule calls during lunchtimes (12-3) giving you no time to stop and take a (MUCH NEEDED) break. As an entry level employee, you’re afraid to take 45min for lunch as no one else seems to, never mind taking vacation/sick/personal time.
They schedule back to back calls EVERY DAY - ALL DAY. There literally is no time to do your job. They have no concept of time management and efficiency. I am expected to be on so many calls daily that the only time I can get my “work” done is after hours. Most calls could have been emails and don’t require 5 ppl on them all the time!
Supervisors are constantly calling and saying “the client wants/needs .... “ and they expect you to produce within a very short timeframe. There’s always an “urgent” matter that needs to be addressed and we are given a very short turnaround time to accomplish it.
Supervisors are also overwhelmed such that they can’t “teach” you so it’s baptism by fire. You learn it on your own and heaven forbid if you don’t figure it out in a day.
Promotions and pay increases are promised but DO NOT happen. You just get more work and burnt out.
