This is a great place to work.

No cons, nothing unexpected at a an agency

The people you work with really help elevate the experience. Well, some of the people that is. Upper and senior management is somewhat of a mess. The gossip from bosses who are sweet to your face then cut throat behind your back is very typical. This isn’t necessarily a pro, however, it is invaluable insight into what it’s like working here, and the things you need to be prepared for. There are some very kind people who you can empathize with and talk about things with. The work itself can be fun! Although, they value deadlines more than accuracy and it can be rather…sloppy to say the least.

- I’ve been praised to my face and thrown for the wolves behind my back - I would wake up confident and leave depleted - I’d work overtime and get little to no recognition, and was told by my manager I needed to “adjust” my numbers so I worked within the “desired” timeframe, while also maintaining my off-hours work ethic. - the work-life balance is not really a thing here. There will be an inflated review most likely after this one airs, but believe the honest and thought-out reviews. - You will be asked to do things outside your scope and to do so with haste. You will be thrown into teams and expected to perform outside of your skill set to complete fire drill tasks (which is fairly common here). - You will be notified of something you missed before of something you performed well—thick skin is required for those meetings. - They operate as a corporation however, the workflow ebbs and flows much like an agency does—so be prepared for lull weeks and being told you are not doing enough. - You can be pushed out or isolated if you do not “fit in” or stroke managements ego. - The pay is not on par with industry standards, I was underpaid for my role in comparison to my peers at other med-centric companies. - Please really consider your next steps. If another company is out there that’s more aligned with your goals and moral compass, I implore you to never settle for anything less. - There isn’t necessarily steady room to grow here. Some management will view you as a threat and will do their best to keep you at bay. Had I not witnessed it first-hand to a colleague of mine, I’d have never thought they took those lengths.
