Pros
Pay is ok. Benefits sounds great but are a trick like most things here. Health benefits are free to employees and family but it’s not great coverage, hard to find anyone in network and prescription plan is terrible. I’d rather pay for a decent health insurance. Bonus is great but you have to stay long enough to get it and honestly it’s not worth selling your soul.
Cons
In the beginning they make you believe you are so lucky to be there and that McMaster is the best company around. You are tied to a desk ALL day long! You arent given a laptop so you can’t even move to a different location. they only give you 15 mins a day to not be working. This is extremely unreasonable that you expect people to not need to stand up walk around and take their eyes off a computer all day long. This job is extremely mind numbing and depressing. You are not allowed to make mistakes but also told to figure out what a customer wants because 90% or the time they don’t give any information on orders. You also aren’t allowed to reach out to customers, so unless you are a mind reader have fun figuring out a solution to this. Also be aware that “90% remote” is also restrictive because you can only work from 6 states (IL,GA,TX, CA, NJ,OH). It’s not really a remote position if you put restrictions on where I can work.
