Pros
None don’t work here you’ll only end up looking elsewhere.
Cons
1. Equipment- poor. Trailers and tractors are a total and complete mess. Managers will lie during the interview process and tell you about all the new equipment at Mclane Arlington and they don’t have any. 2. Load conditions- Poor. Pallets are poorly selected for being selected as singles. Pallets are barley wrapped to keep them standing. Labeling is basically slapped on or poorly done. Extremely common to see cases cut by razor blades from warehouse employees causing damage to products. 3. Management - If you desire to work in a hostile work environment Mclane food service Arlington is the place for you. Management is constantly pitted against drivers in the transportation department there for there is an enormous turnover rate. Drivers that have been with Mclane Arlington for over 10 years in all honesty say that this is the very worst that they have ever seen this distribution center. 4. They are now “salting the loads”. What this means is that by order of Marco the man running the DC the warehouse is placing fictitious cases to entrap drivers saying that they are either steeling or giving products away intentionality. With that we go right back to load conditions. Labeling is not properly done by the warehouse so drivers can’t tell where items are getting delivered. You are being punished for taking care of your customers by writing credits. 5. Routing. They couldn’t route a solid route if they tried and that’s actually being nice. 6. In the time I have worked there, there has been nothing but animosity towards the drivers. This can and only be pointed towards Marco the man that runs that distribution center. I would not recommend anyone to work here warehouse or driver. It’s really sad because this could be a decent place to work. But this is now a place where they are allowing management to entrap drivers into crimes they are not knowledgeable of and this has become nothing more that a very hostile work environment.
