Pros

-The name looks (or looked) great for your resume -Relaxed work environment -Flexible working hours -Hard to be bad at your job, since there is a ratingless performance system with no formal feedback mechanisms. You self manage for the most part -Pay and benefits are good. Probably won’t be as good though as 2021 progresses since the consumer and enterprise business are splitting in two

Cons

-Old boys club, who have been drowning the company for years on end -Zero career progression. Never has been, never will be, irrespective of how highly you perform -Senior management provide no transparency to their team, take no input, and are weak at decision making. Pure rat race -Lots of turnover at director level and above. People come in to make a quick buck and put a stamp on their resume then leave or else get fired because they were so bad at their job -Mass layoffs every January without fail, which is incredible for a company of only <7000 people. Layoffs typically random too, not tired to performance or role, job security is extremely low -Extremely uncoordinated work atmosphere and lack of interest across all business units for collaboration. Never witnessed so many uncooperative people in my career to date, toxic is an understatement -Worst, most incompetent software engineers on this planet, at all levels -Legacy technologies and ways of working smother the company. Completely underfunded company from people to technology to their interpretation of how things should work.
