Pros

Gained extensive experience in the welfare system.

Cons

- Management: HORRIBLE! Favoritism is obvious here. You work hard to meet your goals, get promised bonuses and it never happens. You end up with duties that you are not responsible for. You work overtime without receiving pay. - Co-Workers: Most part backstabbers. Some people are decent, but its rare. - Environment: THE WORSE! Lack of security. Clients yelling, cursing and threatening you every time. You will get depressed soon after starting the job. -Pay and Benefits: HORRIBLE. Hard work and pay is relatively lot lower than other B2W industries. This company has the highest turnover rates of any company out there. Also, be careful who you trust because they will accuse you of fraud and find reasons to get rid of you in the blink of an eye.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
