Pros

Very welcoming and helpful management+colleagues. All delightful to work with. The company genuinely cares about our work opportunities, well-being, and always tries to create a fun and collaborative environment. We don't only create really exciting content for our clients but we also get to game in the office!

Cons

The pandemic is to blame but the only thing we're missing is more social events in-person. Hopefully, we'll get to do that again, soon.

Pros

Maverick is a really special place, it’s full of talent people that genuinely care about each other. Including upper management, which is not the case in every business. People are the best part, but if you love games it’s even more of a pro

Cons

None come to mind .

Pros

Maverick is a small, friendly agency with big ambitions. It’s a brilliant place to work to gain experience, and career progression is actively encouraged, with opportunities and promotion nearly always being offered internally. People rarely just slot into one department – everyone does a bit of everything and gets a real variety of experience. Compared to other companies I’ve worked for, the rewards given to employees was always really generous - good bonus structure, day to day benefits and lots of team nights out, celebrations, and absolutely great company parties. Finally, the employees are a great bunch of people – when you work there, and even after you’ve left, you’re part of the Maverick family.

Cons

Only working across video games, it helps to have a natural interest in this area or you’ll have to work a lot harder to be able to talk about it easily and with competence. If you hate video games, it’s probably not the place for you. It also means the work available is limited, especially as it's quite a competitive marketplace now. As with most creative companies, late nights are regular and work/life balance can be hard.
