Pros

Maverick Derivatives stands out for its flat organizational structure, where everyone, regardless of title or seniority, is very approachable. Decision-making is refreshingly fast, with decisions that might take weeks in other companies being taken in just days here, sometimes even hours. Unlike many other companies, meetings are kept to a minimum, and Wednesdays are designated as a no-meeting day, allowing for deep, focuses and uninterrupted work. The company also offers great flexibility when it comes to remote work, giving employees the freedom to balance their work and personal lives effectively. Additionally, the spacious and modern office in Zuidas provides an excellent environment for those who prefer to work on-site. For those into sports, there are plenty of activities to participate in, contributing to a strong company culture. Overall, if you value a dynamic and efficient workplace with minimal unnecessary meetings, flexibility to work remotely, and a great office space, Maverick Derivatives is an excellent choice.

Cons

One potential drawback is the variability in pay. As the name implies, variable pay is variable. While it can be exceptionally high in good years, it can also be significantly lower in others. But this is compensated with an above average base salary.

Pros

I'm part of the India team. Company has been very flexibility in waiving non-compete due to India currently not fitting into Mavericks business model; and very supportive for our future successes. Company has also been very fair on bonus - giving a fine balance between PnL and effort. A lot of upside for junior to middle level traders given the flat structure. A lot of movability between desks and offices. Junior traders given quick progression to leadership positions

Cons

IT is not the most competitive in the industry.
