Pros

• Innovative Mission: Mavely’s focus on aligning creators and brands has potential and operates in a growing market. • Collaborative Colleagues: I worked with some incredibly talented and supportive peers who genuinely cared about doing great work. • Startup Environment: The fast-paced nature of the company provides opportunities to take ownership and grow if you thrive in ambiguity.

Cons

• Leadership Misalignment: There’s a notable gap between the company’s stated values and the leadership culture. For example, I once shared industry articles to encourage learning and spark new ideas—a common practice in many startups—but was told this detracted from my “real work.” Actions like this made it feel as though initiative and curiosity were undervalued, which is counterproductive in a growth-focused environment. It showed a lack of alignment with the product and our users (whose job it is to share links with others). • Stifling for Ambition: Proactive individuals may find themselves labeled as “too much” or even “volatile,” which can stifle creativity and limit growth opportunities. • Mental Health Impact: The pressure to perform perfectly contributes to a high-stress environment that can take a toll on mental health, especially in a startup where iteration and learning should be encouraged. • Rigid Hierarchies: Despite the startup label, some dynamics reflect a more traditional corporate structure, which can limit agility and transparency.

Pros

Remote work flexibility was a major plus Competitive benefits package

Cons

Echoing many other reviews. My experience aligned with recurring concerns. I frequently felt emotionally unsafe and unsupported. Some leadership, specifically within my team, often demonstrated poor judgment. There was a lack of accountability and inconsistent handling of employee issues. It appears there has not been a formal pay scale associated with roles to reflect the roles and their compensation vs demand. There were other teams that seemed good from the outside, I just did not have that experience. If you are close to an office, you will have to report to the office unless you work out a deal, which will be decided based on your manager or supervisor's like or dislike of you.
