Pros
Intelligent, ambitious, hard-working, fun and supportive people, delivering work of the highest caliber. The client list rivals that of any large consultancies, the work is varied and offers great opportunities to learn about a number of industries and sectors. The flat hierarchy ensures that projects are enjoyable and that the focus remains on delivering exceptional work. The London office is located in a brilliant part of town, and offers good perks (gym, healthcare, development budget, birthday day) for a small firm. There is a truly international/transatlantic outlook and you will be in touch on a daily basis with colleagues in the US. There may be a steep learning curve for juniors, but anyone who has an aspiration to learn and grow quickly should see this as a positive! For seasoned hires, there is a great deal of scope for taking initiative in firm-building activities in addition to project work, a fantastic opportunity for those with an entrepreneurial streak.
Cons
As both a high-performing young company and a very high caliber consulting firm, there is a fast-paced environment with somewhat unpredictable hours (though nothing abnormal for top tier consulting), which could seem relentless to those who aren't prepared for it, mainly a result of a rapidly expanding project pipeline (a positive)! However, the working hours are much more flexible and much less travel-heavy than at many consultancies, and management is very much in touch with consultants' work schedules.
