Best in the business - Director of Civil Engineering Matrix Design Group Employee Review

Pros

Matrix provides everyone with the opportunities to take their career wherever they choose. It's the perfect size firm, with a full compliment of services. The work atmosphere is the right balance of social and professional. Everyone has a team approach, focused on what is best for the firm, not individuals or just their own department.

Cons

Some growing pains in team organization, but it has been improving.

Pros

pay is a pro - if you aren't kicked out for random reasons Everyone seemed nice

Cons

- IT folks are very insecure and aren't aware of how to do most of the things I needed to start work. I had to do there job and mine for the first week. - My bonus was never paid despite having a contract for a 5k payout. - I was told the job was remote ( it wasn't) - I did not receive the right laptop to get all my work done - my paperwork was provided in the same way I've provided for simliar roles, yet hr took forever to do anything with it and didn't seem prepared to onboard. - the hr person there was NEVER available (mgmt was aware didn't do anything about it) - Very messy and unorganized company - cyber sec was basically a foreign concept to them. Be weary of this as an employee/candidate - kind of a lazy vibe. This might be a con for some.. I couldn't get anyone to work lol. It was really odd. I didn't really like that. I wasn't used to this as a dev. - The company refused to pay me until my laptop was returned (This is not le - gal).

All offers of employment, which are not contracts, are subject to employees providing the required documents for work authorization. If that requirement is not met, we are unable to bring someone on board as an employee. It is regrettable that your experience with us was not positive, but we wish you the best in finding an opportunity that is a better fit.
