Pros

If you are a college student, it is nice to make some money as the hours are very flexible. The boss understands that you have classes and makes sure to keep track of when midterms and finals come around. The place usually doesn't open until noon everyday, so if you don't like waking up (like most college students) then this would be perfect.

Cons

The boss treats all employees like little kids (much like the students you are there to teach) and you have no motivation to go above or beyond. With a minimum wage pay no matter who you are, you feel as though you are doing way too much.

Pros

Flexible hours that I could choose, nice working space. My boss was nice and very reasonable. Pay was decent after I completed some certifications. When the teaching was effective it was pretty rewarding and it can be fun to talk to the kids.

Cons

It was honestly a very tiring job. The kids can get really rowdy and difficult to manage, especially if you have to teach three at the same time. Management required us to use tablets and a finicky platform for worksheets that was not helpful and forced me to further split my attention.
