Pros
I have worked at Mason Classical Academy both as a teacher and an administrator. I can honestly say that the focal point of the entire institution is the well-being and success of the students and teachers. As a teacher, I felt that the administrative team prioritized teacher support and actively sought out ways to help the teachers succeed. For example, student behavior is closely managed by administrators as a way to allow teachers to do their jobs and focus on teaching. Any time I had a question about instruction or student progress, I had multiple avenues of support that I could enlist and I also had daily planning periods with my grade-level team members where we could talk about our lessons. One of my favorite parts about working at Mason Classical Academy is that there is an exceptional team of teachers and administrators who are passionate about providing a safe environment and quality education for all children!
Cons
When done well, a career in education can be very demanding.
