Pros

You have unlimited vacation (providing you aren't fired and it is approved by your manager)

Cons

It pretends to be a tech company with all of the bells and whistles most tech companies offer their employees, unfortunately, it fails on the most important factors - EDI, job security and autonomy. What started off as a cool idea has soon descended into complete and utter chaos. Since the company has laid off large numbers of the team, the founders have stepped in and decided that they need to "go back to" a time when they somehow micromanaged every decision and were involved in every meeting. I don't know why they think this is a good idea. I'm also not sure what has happened in this time since "then", because they are making life untenable for every employee and don't seem to be the right people to lead these teams. The reasons for the layoffs seem to be particularly opaque and the whole company is talking about who is next. The CEO had an all-hands explaining to us that no one has any job security and we should all be happy to work at such an exciting company. They have no idea how to run a company or engage their teams to perform. I will be moving on imminently and most of my team feels the same. This is 100% not worth the stresses we go through for the benefits we get in return. There are some managers who are actually realy supportive and I feel bad for them posting this, but honestly it's getting so bad here I can't imagine them sticking around for much longer.

Thanks for your note. We are passionate about continuing to build a great company here at MarketerHire, and as a startup, change is an intrinsic part of our DNA. While we see this change and evolution as inevitable and in the best interest of our team and customers, we also acknowledge at times that change can come with a cost, especially for those team members most impacted as we continue to grow. That said, we welcome the opportunity to get more context on your feedback and discuss more about how you think we can improve. You can reach me anytime at hr@marketerhire.com. Best, Leslie L. (Chief of Staff)

Pros

Client Matching: The platform effectively matched me with a client whose needs and preferences aligned with my expertise, resulting in a fulfilling and productive working relationship. Supportive Management: The XA Managers have been readily available to assist with any questions or issues I encountered, providing valuable guidance and support throughout the project. Timely Payments: I've consistently received my invoices on time, ensuring a reliable and hassle-free payment process.

Cons

Salary Increase Uncertainty: While freelancing offers flexibility, it can also be challenging to negotiate salary increases. I'm unsure if there's a clear process or guidelines for requesting a raise within the MarketerHire platform.

Pros

None. I've gotten zero work from the company.

Cons

If you are a freelancer, don't waste your time with this platform. I was aggressively pursued by their "Talent Acquisition" team to complete my profile and get everything activated. I was promised they had clients waiting with pay averaging $3-7k a month. I had a thorough vetting process with lots of unpaid questions that required detailed answers. I spent 5-6 hours completing everything thrown my way. After "activating" my profile, another outsourced employee gave my profile the green light. Great, right? The work was about to start flowing in! Wrong. It's been 3 months since wasting time on this garbage platform just to get ghosted by every employee I've ever been in contact with. Their acquisition team is clearly incentivized to onboard as many freelancers as possible with ZERO follow-through. Once a freelancer's profile is activated they act as if you don't exist. Big ol' waste of time. If you do decide to onboard with this company, comb through their contract... it's extremely risk heavy on the freelancer's end, requires you to have business insurance, and so much more. Be careful.
