Pros

There are opportunities for advancement due to unprecedented turnover in the management ranks.

Cons

Pay is deficient. Work/life balance is literally non existent. Group benefits package is also grossly insufficient and not priced accordingly. Management structure is not commensurate with tasks expected resulting in excessive negative feedback from oblivious DMs and RMs as well as long, and uncompensated hours. Chronically understaffed stores struggling to provide service that will keep us competitive. A refusal by company executives to do much as develop an interest in what must be an ASM turnover rate in the 80-90 percentile. Must approve designation of key carriers with a pay differential to alleviate horrendous shifts that are comprised of mostly nights. Two weeks or even 4 weeks (max) vacation is meaningless when that’s a max of 20 days PTO when you work far more uncompensated “6th days” than that between the holidays and vacation season. All in all, senior management and executives are myopic and tunnel-vision Ed on their own prosperity and lives and literally do not care about the devastating burnout occurring amongst their management teams. I do not recommend falling into the Marcs trap. You will sacrifice everything and everyone you love and enjoy.
