Worst Employer in my life - Faculty Manhattan Review Employee Review

Even during COVID, I felt that the company truly cared about employees and supporting them within the organization, and was even concerned about the transition process for those who transitioned out in the past year. It felt good to have a company that cares so deeply about its employees, to the point where it even helped them leave the company if needed. You can tell that they care about the employees as individuals, not just as numbers in their books that help them make money. It’s refreshing.

Now that the company is shifting out of ‘crisis mode,’ they were having some difficulties with the aspects of what things from COVID that they want to keep in the long-run or not.

As far as stress levels go, since working here mine have been at an all-time low. There’s zero pressure, zero stress, and zero micromanagement. The company’s approach to employees is very laid-back and hands-off. Based on my experience with the company, I’d say this is the perfect work environment for anyone who suffers from mental health issues in the workplace due to high demand jobs and impossible to meet expectations. You’ll probably make less than at your high stress job, but it’s worth what it’ll save you in mental health costs when you finally snap. Only a year with the company and I was able to gain enough clarity in my life about what I really wanted and what would actually bring me happiness and I finally made the move out West to return to my roots and I couldn’t be happier.

It wasn’t for me long-term, but I’m so grateful I got this experience because if it weren’t for the lack of stress I finally experienced in my life who knows how long it would have taken me to finally do what I want and live a life that would make me happy in the long-run? I don’t even like thinking about how differently my life could have gone if I hadn’t found my way to Manhattan Review.
