Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our firm’s culture, including your observations related to hands-on training opportunities and firm-sponsored events. We value input from our team, as it helps us better understand the employee experience and continuously refine how we support professional development and engagement. Hands-on learning and collaborative events are key components of how we aim to foster both technical growth and a strong sense of community. We understand that the public accounting profession can be particularly demanding during peak periods. With that in mind, we are intentional about offering flexibility and support to help manage those demands. Our hybrid work model, along with defined core office hours, is designed to provide a balance between autonomy and collaboration. This structure allows team members to manage their time effectively while still maintaining alignment with their teams. If you have additional concerns, suggestions, or ideas you would like to discuss further, please do not hesitate to reach out to Human Resources. Thank you again for your input.

Pros

None, can’t think of any

Cons

Management’s poor delegation and communication resulted in me being wrongly blamed for an incomplete deliverable that had been assigned to someone else. Instead of addressing the matter privately, they created a late-night group chat (excluding the responsible party) and publicly criticized me. Even after it was clear I was not at fault, they remained unprofessional and dismissive. The firm imposed excessively long working hours and penalized employees for not meeting them, even when workloads made such hours unattainable. They engaged in mass hiring only to lay off a significant portion of staff before issuing bonuses, and those laid off were not permitted to collect their personal belongings. Additionally, there was a pervasive culture of discrimination.

MaloneBailey values all feedback and takes concerns seriously. We would like to clarify a few points raised in your review. The assertion that the firm engages in mass hiring followed by widespread layoffs is inaccurate and untrue. The recent layoff affected a limited number of individuals and was not representative of a broader hiring strategy. In accordance with protocols, those impacted were provided the opportunity to retrieve personal belongings when returning company-issued equipment or having the items mailed directly to the individual. We also want to reaffirm that MaloneBailey does not tolerate discrimination in any form. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees are treated equitably, regardless of background or personal circumstances. We recognize the importance of empathy and strive to uphold a culture rooted in fairness, dignity, and mutual respect.
