Pros

Some work from home flexibility

Cons

This place was the most toxic work environment I’ve experienced. There was recently a shift in management, so most of the current managers are new to their current roles, and it shows. They were rude and condescending, but the worst was that they acted like a clique. It was unprofessional, in my opinion. I witnessed them socializing with each other during the work day, but I didn’t see them make an effort to get to know the people working for them. When they did interact with us, it was usually via the public project portal in the form of a public call-out. I would much rather have been sidelined if there was an issue. This lack of respect or leadship skills made for a toxic working environment. Also, many people felt underpaid. During season, people worked extremely long hours with little sleep. They dangle the potential for growth to get you excited, but it turns out there isn’t actually much room for growth. It seems like their mindset is that it doesn’t matter if they burn people out, because there will always be a new crop of poli sci majors hungry for a job. This is not the kind of company that instills loyalty in their people. If you’re looking for a job in political advertising, I’d suggest looking for a company that talks about their company culture on their website. There are many other firms to work for that would treat you better. Pick one of those instead.
