Pros
My coworkers were nice for the most part
Cons
The job advertisement was ENTIRELY misleading. Was promised $500-$800 weekly and at full time hours with tips I made maybe $700 every TWO weeks. I asked around and none of the full time cleaners were making near the promised pay rate. Our franchise owner would not do walk-throughs prior to first time or one time cleans, or in general at all, so the estimated time given for every clean was insufficient. This lead to cleaners rushing which lead to things missed or neglected, as well as all of us literally being out of breath and sweating by the end of every clean. In one home, it was probably a 3,500 square foot home, I was assigned to clean it by myself and given 3 hours to do so. There was so much to do in such a short time, and the home was so hot, that by the end I was nauseous and once I got in my car to drive to the next clean I had to pull over to throw up from over exertion. They advertise that the hours are “flexible” which just means that some days you’ll work for 3 hours and others 11 hours. The pay rate is minimum wage and they expect way more out of you than what they are paying for. They take advantage of people who are struggling to find a job. This company does not care about it’s cleaners. Franchise owners make a massive profit while cleaners don’t even make enough to support themselves. Every cleaner in the company, including managers, was on medicaid.
