Pros

Kind and supportive culture. Operating in a meaningful industry. Remote friendly. Excellent role for new grads. Opportunity to build great relationships with customers and feel the impact of your work. Great place to get your hands dirty with SQL and programming if you aren’t very experienced.

Cons

Salary is low. Benefits, PTO, and company holidays are disappointing as well. Software engineering process currently leads to a lot of bugs which creates significant customer frustration. Outdated software language doesn’t transfer well for future jobs. Plenty of time spent dealing with problems that are tedious and don’t lead to technical growth or require technical knowledge.

Pros

Support for 3 years, Systems Engineer for 8 - Meritocratic work environment, advancement available for those that want it. The best place I've worked by a landslide and the last place I've needed to work (or would consider working for) again. Remote work available.

Cons

You may find yourself working less than 40 hours some weeks, but others you might have to go over 40

Everyone seems oddly afraid of the boss Brian, and tasks/training/goals are framed as what Brian wants, not what’s industry standard or best practice, etc. Sad to meet seemingly qualified people who cower to their pseudo-doctor dear leader. I could go on but I won’t. Overarching theme of incel energy,
