Pros
During my 10 years of working in the public sector, I heard several rumors about working in the private sector, specifically for government contractors. Rumors such as job insecurity, higher medical insurance, etc. I was a little hesitant to apply with MOSAIC because I was worried the rumors were true. With that being said, I am beyond happy that I followed through with the application and was graciously accepted. I have never felt scared of being laid off and have really enjoyed all the benefits of working in the private sector. I sincerely feel like I have gone from being a cog in the wheel to being part of a family. A family which provides more room for professional growth. I used to look at my line of work as a job, but after working for MOSAIC, I now see it as a career. The biggest change I have felt, is the quality and efficiency of operations. When I first started, I felt like the fat of bureaucracy had been trimmed and we were now providing a leaner, higher quality product to our customers.
Cons
Rumors surrounding being a government contractor create an unreal image of what MOSAIC culture is actually like!
