Pros

- Fun to be in the personal development industry - Co-workers were nice and friendly - You can learn a lot about online marketing - Office is downtown San Diego, so nice area to work in

Cons

- Low pay - No opportunity for advancement - Poor organization - expected that I work some evenings and weekends to clean up messes - Pressure to attend a lot of unpaid after hours and weekend functions (some team building stuff is fun, but if I'm not getting paid, invite me but then respect if I say no instead of trying to make me feel like I'm not a team player) - I saw staff being mistreated - the owner would lose his temper and curse people out when it was completely unwarranted - I even saw some young women reduced to tears - People quitting were expected to give months (not weeks) of notice and were made to feel bad and were badmouthed if they didn't

Pros

- Learned a lot. The team is smart and you have access to the latest courses, masterminds and digital marketing events. - Flexibility - the managers were always supportive and caring when I had any kind of urgent need and needed to work remotely, or attend to something that was important to me. I appreciated this as I didn’t get this level of flexibility in my last job. - Benefits - good health insurance, bring your dog to work, team holidays which were really fun. Overall I enjoyed my time at Mind Movies. I learned a LOT in a pretty short period of time and it’s really helped me in my current position. It’s a fun place to work and if you want to progress your career fast you can - IF you take advantage of all the learning resources you have access to there.

Cons

- Sometimes you have to work long hours and hard when they have a launch. The launches were planned but still, it can be tiring. - The relaxed environment of the workplace was maybe too relaxed sometimes and the staff takes advantage of that. I just wanted to do my job but sometimes other colleagues would take advantage of the in-office perks (like afternoon office drinks) and the management didn’t notice. Sometimes it was a bit distracting. - The big boss is loud and direct. He was good to us but he’s from Australia, so don’t work there if you get offended easily lol.
