Pros
I'm lucky enough to have a great boss and a lot of great co-workers. PLB and pay is not bad. There is a good amount of learning oppurtunities for maintenance and chrom analysis if you work hard.
Cons
Most lab techs are hired staight out of college. A good chunk of them don't take the job seriously, which makes it very hard for the employees that do. Upper managment treats all employees like high schoolers. Not a lot of respect even for those that work hard. Not a lot of positions to easily move up to. Medical coverage is crap for what you have to pay.
