Pros
I've been working here for two weeks and as of Friday, I am officially on the call center floor in production. The first week of training is mainly learning about the different organizations we call on behalf of, the company's values and principles, roleplaying the scripts, and live calling after 3 days of classroom training. You have to pass a test to complete week 1 of training, but it's very simple and as long you pay attention, take notes, and show up you will do well. Week 2 of training is a lot of hands on experience on the phones, which helps out tremendously. It puts a lot of what you learned in week 1 into action and helps you with the foundation that week 1 built. I absolutely love my job so far. It is tough at times, you will get a lot of no's, but you have to keep trying. There are a lot of wonderful organizations we call for and they are worth all the hard work we put in. It's truly a blessing. I'm looking forward to starting production on Monday and improving even more!
Cons
The base pay could be a bit higher due to the amount calls we take and the hard work we put in, but we do get bonuses based on performance.
If you don't perform well within a certain length of time, they will let you go. That's terrifying to think about, but I'm keeping a positive outlook and hoping to improve each week and keep my performance up!
