Training and onboarding program is underdeveloped and does not adequately prepare you for your job. Reference materials such as manuals and policies are not up to date, or simply not followed. Departments are understaffed and overworked. Management does not lead by example, discourages independent thinking, micromanages, gossips, communicates poorly, and displays flagrant favoritism. Performance metrics are based on incredibly subjective topics and give no real specifics or insight into your job performance. Work felt more like a popularity contest rather than a professional workplace. There is heavy emphasis on the culture, but no real follow through with its implementation.
