Pros

The people were the best part of the company

Cons

Where do I even begin? In my experience, this company is everything that's wrong with parts of the recruitment industry. The business is run by two owners from Pakistan who, in my opinion, showed very outdated attitudes towards women in the workplace. Don't expect equal opportunities, respect, or genuine career progression if you don't fit the mould. The commission structure is nothing short of appalling. Six months before you're even eligible for commission is considered "normal", followed by extortionate thresholds and one of the worst banding structures I've ever seen. If you're joining to earn good money, think very carefully before signing a contract. Even then, commission isn't guaranteed. I saw people go years without being paid commission because management decided they "didn't deserve it". Imagine hitting targets only to be told you're not getting paid what you've earned for years!! Pay rises and commission payments were regularly delayed, with "cash flow" used as the excuse. Meanwhile, the owners seemed to have no problem funding luxury cars, expensive houses and lavish lifestyles. Staff were expected to believe there simply wasn't enough money to pay them properly. I hope they have all woken up now The business changes direction constantly. Targets, structures, rules and priorities seem to change whenever it suits management. There is no consistency, no long-term vision, and very little transparency. Forget flexibility. There is virtually no trust from management, so don't expect meaningful home working or autonomy. The culture is old-school, high-pressure and feels more like a boiler room than a modern recruitment business. If you're unfortunate enough to be off sick, don't expect support. In my experience, you'll still be contacted and pressured while you're trying to recover. The bullying culture was impossible to ignore. I also witnessed behaviour that I considered discriminatory, and it created an environment that many people simply tolerated because they felt they had no choice. This is my personal experience, but if you're considering joining, I'd strongly encourage you to speak to current and former employees before making your decision. Don't just listen to the sales pitch—do your own due diligence.
