Pros
Working in M Group makes me wish I'd discovered them before. During my almost ten years with this company, I've never had a bad line manager, never felt anything but valued and always felt supported by everyone I work with. I'm hoping to stay with them until I retire, because, quite honestly, I wouldn't want to risk losing what we have here. Main pros - Company is optimistic and driven towards making a real difference. People services seem to genuinely want to make things better for people. There's an active Women's network and they have a healthy diversity group called ENABLE that put out a lot of content. New branding and identity seems to be positioning the company for bigger things. There seems to be a new focus on giving people the opportunity to be promoted and transferred within different parts of the Group, rather than having to look externally. I'm not sure if we have the numbers to back it up, yet, but the intention is healthy. A sense of positivity seems to underpin every contract I've interacted with.
Cons
Lack of transparency on pay and benefits on an individual-by-individual basis IT and connectivity between colleagues seems to be still struggling A time of change and re-invention might not be to everyone's taste
