Pros

It's a job? Definitive proof that bad management can quickly drive an entire company to the ground?

Cons

Some of the other reviews here are spot on regarding awful leadership. The biggest mystery is how they are still in business but I suppose its only a matter of time? This is a tiny company (and shrinking), and normally in a company this size you would expect leadership that is very in touch with their employees, clients, vision...etc. This couldn't be further from the truth in this case though. To call management here "caretaker management" would be giving it way too much credit. Clients and employees alike are neglected resulting in extremely high employee turnover and eerily accelerating loss of clients. This is not surprising when Management plays games and deceives clients treating them like tedious chores (and doesn't even try to hide it) as opposed to realizing the customer is the real boss. It appears as if though they are always concerned about their own network but never the clients'. Stubborn, unbending, tunnel vision, arrogant, deluded, "I am always right" are some other terms that come to mind when describing "leadership" here. It is one thing to be stubborn and pompous when you are at least getting some results, but here it persists while losing employees/clients left and right and breaking every "Management 101" guideline in the book. Interview process is a joke so company is notorious for hiring under qualified employees then just letting them go and replacing them with another "throw at the dartboard". Zero training and no defined clear documentation. Management/Supervisory staff unwilling to provide training/direction to new employees and then just faults them / disciplines when mistakes are unavoidably made. The benefits are awful (think cheapest HMO on the market). Pay is "OK" for the work performed, but what you start with is what you will end with.. no real performance reviews, and zero room for advancement because management seems unwilling to recognize/distinguish talent or performance. It is almost as if management is "threatened" by talent, new or even rational ideas, because they are insecure about their own lack of management skills? ("Its this way because I say so" attitude) I want to stress that the average pay and awful benefits are not the reasons why this place is such a bad place to work. Throwing money at problems while root cause is not being addressed never works. The management really takes the cake here. From sr management right down to lower level supervisory staff (weakness beget weakness), the lack of people management/leadership skills is just painfully obvious further strengthening the point that titles can be just that - titles.

Pros

Work from home and laid back

Cons

Management style lacked clear communication and consistent guidance. Compensation was below industry expectations relative to responsibilities. Some processes and expectations were unclear, leading to unanswered questions. Opportunities to demonstrate skills and take on new challenges were sometimes limited due to decision-making delays.
