Pros

In the beginning, everything was great. Co-workers quickly became like family. Fun working environment. In my first year we received lots of free product from vendors. Learned a lot about running and the fitness world. Great pay, came with high standards which was nice because the turnover rate was almost nonexistent and it made you feel valued and important.

Cons

Healthcare was no good but at least it was offered. They had a part time, part time regular and full time position - never understood what part time regular meant but you worked more than part time and maybe an hour less than full time however you did not qualify for full time benefits (paid time off, full time discount, etc). It seemed extremely unfair that PT regular would work just as hard and not receive the same benefits. Not many of the full time workers ever actually worked 40 hours a week, and if you hit overtime, you would be in trouble. Towards the end of employment, we were strung along with promises of a "light at the end of the tunnel" and to "hold on because our loyalty will pay off" when in reality that was NOT the case.

Pros

Discounts and you learn the ins and outs of the running world. Additionally, you meet a lot of people (mostly smu people and highland park moms) and you get to learn how to communicate.

Cons

No breaks, the owner of the company does not believe in allowing people to take breaks on 8 hour shifts and if you do get a break, it’s a 20 minute break…… Terrible work conditions with very little attention to employees well being. No vacation time, poor communication on simple tasks among the team and an unbalanced team dynamic were everyone who works there is the boss. Absolutely no talks or opportunities for career growth and very poor training for employees.
