Pros

I got to work remote for Lowe's for 3 years, during the COVID pandemic.

Cons

Lowe's is now moving away from all remote work after telling employees that were hired remote they would remain that way indefinitely. You can continue working remote, but if you want a promotion they want you to move to North Carolina. Additionally, if your role is changed to in-office, they will give you 2 weeks notice to decide to upend your life to their corporate location. If you decide not to, they will not give you your severance package. You also cannot work out of the brand new building in Charlotte, instead they want you to travel 30 min out of the city 4 days a week. The holiday policy is also the worst I've had- 5 holidays a year, half of the amount that are recognized by the government.

Pros

Remote, great starting pay for entry level remote. Team environment was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Very limited to no advancement opportunities with pay increases that don't even match cost of living increases. No HR support and the culture reflects that... not a company that has any flexibility in the way employees are handled when they make a mistake it stacks and is not removes for a year. If you have three mistakes even if they are in totally different areas they will terminate even tenured employees with otherwise perfect records. Not a way to keep good employees.
