Pros

I’ll be honest, the pros are few far in between. Lowe’s does have awesome benefits, great insurance and during this pandemic they have taken caution to provide bonuses to those who have worked during this difficult time. Also the people who work with you are pretty cool.

Cons

I will break this down into sections because it’s just so much to say. Management: Leadership is seriously lacking, especially in the IST. I can not speak for the stores because our department only works in conjunction with them but I can say that there is a lack of communication. Additionally, it seems like the store managers do not respect IST or our position. They will make decisions on installations without consulting their coordinator causing a breakdown in communication. Managers in the IST hardly do anything to correct this behavior. Everything falls back on the IST coordinator even when it is outside our control. Upper leadership does NOTHING to hold the stores accountable. (ex. Missing delivery, poor communication, selling materials reserved for installs, not updating IMS of materials, etc) Job Description: This will vary depending upon the day , month or even holiday. Lowe’s changes things ALOT. Be ready to constantly learn new policies and methods of doing your job. These changes at times are drastic, not just small tweaks. They will completely overhaul a process and then send an email link for you to review it on your own time. You better know how to do the new process too! You are responsible for knowing these things because as a project coordinator, there are a lot of instances where installers or even store reps will try you. Essentially as a project coordinator you are responsible for a lot. It will be overwhelming. The Phones: I want everyone who is applying for Project Coordinator to understand this; you will be on the phone ALL DAY. This is a call center. Period. You will be responsible for not only contacting your customers but also taking care of other customers outside of your assigned stores. All of your calls are recorded and some are graded. You are expected to hit a certain service level with each graded call. I won’t even lie, most of the calls that you will take are customers that are angry. Angry with Lowe’s, the installers, the delivery team. You name it. You have to have tough skin because they want you to own the call from beginning to end. Depending on the day, you will be wrapped up in these calls and it will take you away from your work load. Some people work on their breaks and lunches to stay caught up, because it is expected that your workload be cleared out and finished by the end of the day. Opportunity: Sure you can move up, but you better play the game. That’s all I will say about that. Overall, this job is very fast paced. You will work very hard for your money. Most of the cons listed here fall back on leadership. This company has no direction, is very disorganized and also lacks the ability to support and grow their employees. You are a number. This is fairly common in companies of this size. However , Lowe’s operates under the guise that we are a family. None of my family members treat me the way Lowe’s treats me, thank God.

Pros

If you want to be lazy it's perfect 👌

Cons

This is the worst company I have EVER worked for, the worst I've ever been treated by an employer. So bad it caused me to be suicidal. The managers are incompetent. They are not leaders, they do not care about your wellbeing, just what they can get out of you. If you don't get credit cards you get yelled at. I'm seen so many employees just walk out because of that reason alone. I begged for full time, never gave it to me, but still give it to new hires. Which caused my kids and I to have no health insurance. Constantly changing my schedule. Which causes you to never be able to make any plans, or have a life. Denied my leave of absence for surgery as I'm literally laying in bed waiting to get surgery. Which was still dinged as a call out. Eventually leading me to a final, to finally get fired from the hell hole that is Lowes. I was smiling getting fired, walked out the door and felt so much relief. Lowes blows.
