Pros
Free food on shift, good staff party
Cons
Asked how many hours I’m looking for(I wanted part time) and still for my 1st week didn’t respect that and gave me split shifts, not for training purposes because I was ignored / left alone for hours The FOH staff were friendly but the management team / kitchen were so cliquey and rude, I’ve never felt so isolated at a job, especially as a new team member. I think we all have basic empathy and know how to treat someone who is new, so it’s hard not to let it get to you. So understaffed with a fast turn over that the managers are young / under qualified Very unprofessional Awful, cliquey, toxic culture and training is non existent. I was working here for just over a week, and most of the time working with 3+ managers, not one of them attempted to converse with me to get to know their new member of staff, infact they shut me out everytime I tried to. What’s the point in a team? They also used to work on the bar with me and converse amongst themselves for HOURS, not saying a word to me. Training is ridiculous, I assumed the long shifts were to train me but they weren’t, and when I was still asking questions on specs a week later, I’d get met with passive aggressive energy. The kitchen team were so rude, and very upsetting When I handed in my immediate notice due to being so uncomfortable the GM never ever replied to my text, not even an apology. How great is that management?
