Pros

If you are competitive and driven this is the place for you. Such perks like getting clothes vouchers happen monthly so you are always decked out in the newest clothes. I learnt my best visual merchandising skills here and problem solving skills. Never a dull moment and always on the move. Experienced leadership to bring you to a high standard you can take anywhere in your career. Is results driven so you can rely on your performance for job opportunity’s and growth.

Cons

It is a high pressure job, you need to be a real sales person to be able to adapt to the highs and lows of how consumers spend.

Pros

There were no pros to working for this company.

Cons

Corporate had such unrealistic expectations and would micromanage by calling throughout the day asking all employees what the current sales numbers were at and what each employee would do to turn it around. There was barely any foot traffic and the regional manager would push for everyone to go through out the mall and food court to get people to come into the store, as well as stand in front of the store to lure people to come in. It was so cringey and seemed to turn customers away even more. It seemed and felt desperate. Everything was focused on numbers and not any concern for customers or employees at all. It seemed to have gone against everything Lorna Jane stood for and all the motivational “vibes” and sayings in stores and on clothing. It was cliquey and not an inclusive environment. The store manager was great and tried her best, but none of the employees would listen and basically wanted to sit on their phones instead of work and do things like basic tasks such as go-backs, make sure the store and merchandise was tidy and organized. Not unreasonable asks at all. There was even a pregnant employee who got in trouble by the regional manager for elevating her feet while on a break in the back. Crazy!
