This showed that policies and employee well-being are secondary to the company’s bottom line. It is apparent the company is positioning itself for sale, and this drives decisions. Employees are seen as expenses to cut rather than people to invest in, with benefits, perks, and support reduced to improve margins. Promises about valuing employees often feel like empty statements rather than reality.
