Pros
Some great humans doing great work, decent pay
Cons
Leadership does not have the skills to run a company of this scale, but believe they are Tech Gods and can do no wrong. This leads to incredible issues around planning, communication, hiring, etc. Senior leadership has failed to execute over the past few years but ICs bear all the brunt of the mistakes e.g. multiple layoff rounds, firing of executives. If you look at the projects Loom has committed to in the past few years, and spend 5 minutes playing with the product, you will feel an obvious disconnect -- the app is broken in many ways but instead we have been building social media and ML features. The 10-year goal was stated to be "becoming the largest video platform" which is just insanity if you consider the product. These are VC tech bros trying to be the next tiktok, but are just high off their good luck and market timing. Unfortunately I don't think Loom can take it to the next level as a business with the current leadership, who have made it very clear they are not open to feedback or doing anything differently. It's really sad to see, a few years ago Loom had a very special culture and some great people. Unfortunately the quality has gone straight downhill, both of culture and product
