Pros
The pizzas good and the people at Starbucks are very nice
Cons
They don't treat their cart employees with respect and expect one person to fully clear out 4 large cart corrals and keep the lobby filled with carts for the entire shift especially at the busiest times with little to no help. Additionally they don't allow cart pushers to go on break unless the lobby is fully filled with carts and the corrals are fully emptied and cleaned out, which is impossible for one person to do. The cart corrals are infested with wasps and the cart pushers are expected to clean the store washrooms every hour and change all the garbages in the store whenever they are full, the garbage bags and gloves they provide are paper thin and rip extremely easily so you end up being covered in garbage while still expected to keep the lobby full with carts. Also when a cart pusher gets injured the management has no clue how to use a first aid kit and just gives you a bandaid and some ice and sometimes a random ointment that they don't even know what it is at the bottom of the kit. Also they make you sign an accident report stating your duties will be modified to accommodate for your injury, then when they see that the carts are low 2 minutes later they get mad at you and start telling you to pick up the pace and fill the lobby faster and that it's unacceptable for the lobby to be low at anytime. They are severely under staffed but refuse to schedule more employees and often force employees from other departments to come push carts when the carts are low and even then they look down on you for having another employee help you do your job. When applying to work at Longos they ask you if you are currently working somewhere else and if you are you are forced to quit that job no matter how long you've been there before even starting to work at Longos, so you're stuck there until you find a new job. Most of the employees who work in front end have been there for years and enforce the rules as if they're managers and when you try to ask questions or point out major flaws about the work place they get very defensive and tell you to get back to work. If you don't get the long list of duties your assigned done by the time your shift ends they guilt trip you into staying longer until you're finished with everything they ask of you, they also require that the carts be fully filled in the lobby before you are allowed to leave. Overall they treat the cart pushers like the trash they make them pick up and make them to do much more then they are paid for. It is seriously not worth quitting your job and working here.
