Pros

Some of my coworkers are nice. Being close to downtown Phoenix is nice. Diversity in middle management is improving.

Cons

While some of the co-workers are nice, others are cut throut. It is super toxic. They are always "laying people off," but it feels like they were fired... The CEO gets mad publicly when employees aren't happy. Sometimes the C-Suite just gets mad publicly. They fire people that use the benefits because they can't afford them. If you can't play politics then you won't survive this place. Even at the lunches and parties the upper management and C-Suite are completely unapproachable. You just know that middle management and below are considered disposable, but they smile a lot when they dismiss you from saying anything more then hello. The evaluation system is built on forced rankings, which creates an environment of fear and competition instead of teamwork. The culture emphasizes corporate loyalty and executive control, with limited input or empowerment for employees... well they want you input but only if it is in agreement with how great they think that they are.

Pros

Office Location is accessible to downtown

Cons

There are so many. This company lacks professionalism, from the CTO to managers. You HAVE to be a YES man to work and succeed here; I was once told to stay in my lane and do the job I was hired to do when I presented a few ideas on how to streamline processes. CSM role has one manager who loves you as long as you say yes to everything. If you ask questions about new processes that she cannot answer, she gets defensive and you become her newest target. The CEO is nice, but has said to employees that if you’re not doing anything beneficial for him, there's no reason for him to remember who you are. The pay DOES NOT equate to the amount of work you will be mandated to do. It’s not even close. Most of the employees at Lofty are miserable but their professional confidence is so low they don’t have the courage to look for other employment OR TIME.
