Pros

Plenty of hours, depending on location. You might be required to cover sites outside your city to get the hours.

Cons

*Long hours. 10 - 12 on average *Taking holidys and being paid for your holidays can be tricky - Few officers I know took holiday that were never paid. *Favoritism is rife. Plenty of lazy officers who do the minimum and call in sick regularly get perfered shifts and days off.

Pros

Just the pay is on time

Cons

Really low wage, all the Senior management has left. Don’t approve holiday unless the store manager approves it. Treat you like a number and don’t care about people health

Pros

- Flexible holidays (can take more than you accrue with the understanding you work the allowance back) - Understanding of family commitments - Supportive (healthcare appointments, sickness)

Cons

- Poor PPE provision (No body armour provided even when knife/needle incidents have been reported) - Near zero career progression - Low pay rate (comparable with other industry employers locally) - Low standards of training, dangerous for new officers
