Pros
I've been working for Local Concept for the past 10 years. Went from a Project Assistant to Desktop Publishing to Quality Assurance and now I have been promoted yet again to US Operations Manager. In this company you get what you put in, you feel appreciated and definitely part of the team. In these past 10 years I've seen the company strive to improve every day and I've seen the care they put in the treatment of client and employees alike (a lot of whom have been here longer than me). There are 3 offices in very different time zones and yet we manage to organize virtual “get togethers” – some of us were having breakfast, others lunch and others dinner – suffice it to say we all get along very well – Oh! And a big plus, the company is dog friendly.
Cons
Like I said the company has 3 offices in very different time zones, so the working method of each office is something the company keeps struggling with. Trying to get all three offices to have same global culture and procedures makes it a bit hard for employees to adapt and we’ve had some turnover in one of the offices. Also, communication can sometimes be hard because of all the cultural nuances.
