Pros
If you are on a good team, it's a great time! Working with respectful people makes all the difference, and my previous review was definitely a reflection of the previous team I was a part of. The pay is good Overworking is not the norm, and your time is respected. I was lucky enough to be hired remote before the RTO mandate was made, so my work life balance feels very comfortable
Cons
Benefits are not as good as what other companies offer, and price matching for RRSP is much poorer in comparison as well. The RTO makes people nervous and frustrated, since no concrete or compelling evidence has been provided to convince anyone that the benefits outweigh the various costs (travel costs, cost to time, cost to car wear and tear, cost to work life balance etc). It's also mandatory for people to come in 3 days a week, and even if you are sick or miss a day for any kind of reason, you are expected to make the time up later, which quite frankly seems absurd. Plus, they have gotten rid of some of the office spaces. I live quite far out in the country, so there is no train or bus I can take, and the closest office location to me was just closed. If I had to return to the office, the cost would just simply be too much.
