Pros

Honestly, the pros really depend on who your manager or departments lead(s) are. If you're lucky enough to get one of the one or two who is known for treating their people well and equitably, then your experience will be ok for the most part. For the rest of us, we are overworked, overwhelmed, and and feeling undervalued 99% of the time.

Cons

I have never been at a job where most people I run into are so unhappy. I have seen more co-workers cry or breakdown here than any where else in my professional career and it's just not okay. A lot of it comes from the constant feeling of instability at Literati because of being an unprofitable start up, which will likely never change given the direct (or lack thereof) that we've been heading over the last year . But because of the instability, there is constant turnover from people leaving for greener pastures, mass layoffs, and silent layoffs, which leaves the people still here just completely buried under work and without anyone to actually listen to us unless we are one of the prized few.

Pros

Remote work, flexible schedule, except when we're called for a Zoom meeting. The convenience of having a flexible schedule, eating on your desk while working, taking breaks anytime.

Cons

Policies and procedures were unclear, yet management expects one hundred percent compliance. Zoom meetings were a waste of time. Instead of being productive, we all just listen to sermons! Everyone's expected to go beyond and wear different hats at the same time. Multitasking is a must, and that is extremely stressful! The long hours were brutal! Even when we work from home, I feel extremely exhausted. After some time, you realize that what you're doing isn't what you signed up for and instantly regret accepting the job!
