Pros
I enjoy transcribing for Literably because they provide transcription services for educators and I feel I am making a positive difference. The pay fluctuates but as you gain experience you will also get better at transcribing which will make you faster at scoring. The company wants their transcribers to succeed and they have been helpful, motivating, and positive. I have been transcribing for over 3 years and I enjoy the flexibility and extra money.
Cons
This is not what I would call an "easy" job. It requires concentration, focus, a great command of the English language, and the ability to follow instructions to the (literal) letter. The training transcriptions are challenging and you really have to be able to distinguish between a "sh" and a "ch" sound and be able to transcribe accurately even with noise in the background. If you are willing to put time in and train, you'll get it. If you are looking for fast, quick money, this isn't for you.
