Pros
*Caring co-workers *Plenty of opportunities to engage (with different ministries, opportunities, with students, etc) *Great campus (good for walking, can use the gym and go to fitness classes) *Good food options - the cafeteria is actually pretty delicious most days and there are lots of other fast food options *Always something going on. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend chapel aka The Gathering and they have neat guest speakers from time to time. The events on campus range widely from political prayer breakfasts to the Gospel Music Awards and lots in between. I experienced a lot of great things while I was there, including some awesome theater performances *Generous in giving time off (you get a day off for your birthday and a whole week at Christmas!) Just a great environment for work. There are lots of great things happening there and between the mission trips and relationships being formed on campus etc lives are truly changed. *Good health insurance/benefits options *Tuition breaks/reimbursement. I didn't use it, but I know it's made a big difference in some for some of my prior coworkers
Cons
I know some positions don't pay quite as much as you might expect to get in the for profit sector. Generally speaking Lipscomb makes up for it by being flexible and giving you perks elsewhere, but sometimes that is hard. The cost of living raises I was given were very small. Parking can be a pill, but they do offer some alternatives and if you arrive at certain times, it's not so bad.
