Pros
Culture in the NYC office is incredible. Teams are collaborative and supportive. There's an energy in the office that I haven't felt elsewhere. It fuels your work and drive and enables you to want to be better.
Cons
Like in most places, your employer is only as good as your direct manager. I was fortunate to be hired by an incredible leader who then was promoted (rightfully) shortly after. The new manager that I began reporting to was unfit for the role. They were promoted internally but came from a different part of the business. One that was entirely transactional and completely misaligned to the ethos of Relationship Management with ENT customers. This manager, although visibly inept at coaching/leading, was still supported by the directors and leaders in the org, and critical feedback fell on deaf ears.
