Aside from supervisor and GF. Upper management is terrible. Especially in the corporate level with Centuri. Bonus compensation use to be great. Then the more century was involved they steadily added more “crew cost” that don’t make much sense to eat up your bonus. Centuri moved money around to look less profitable to keep from paying out more than necessary to other investors and employees that were owed. I don’t believe. One of the weird crew cost they added that take away a significant amount of profit and bonus from crews was “equipment depreciation”. At one point once you made enough profit to pay for all equipment and tools provided when starting your crew then you would lose those extra crew cost and really start making good quarterly bonus. Now, after you pay off your crew start up cost they just charge your crew an unrealistic amount of depreciation cost. At a certain point you’ve paid enough to buy a whole new set of equipment. We pay in over 1000 or more to safety which is strange because we buy all of our safety ppe with our crew cards which goes against our crew cost obviously. So really unsure of what that money for safety covers. Although, our safety guys are absolutely awesome! But, Centuri is greedy and Linetec would be and was better without them. The reason that it is a big deal the Bonus structure going to crap, is Linetec is so far behind on payscale. At one point the bonus structure made it worth it. But, Centuri made it harder and harder to make those bonuses. Now granted inflation is killing everyone but, this was happening before hand. Myself and every employee that i have ever spoken to does not feel as if Centuri cares about anything other than their profit. And, understandably people are in the business to make money. But, it is also important to care for the people making that money for you. Everyone wants to maximize profits and honestly centuri will always be just fine with all of the other companies they own. But, they have absolutely ruined LineTec. Which really sucks for some of the great people that got Linetec started. I love a lot of the people at linetec from the bottom to the top. But, again, Centuri has absolutely ruined what could have been an amazing company. As far as coworkers go, wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.
