Pros
The benefits are all right. Pay is decent, although alot of people say its still too low. There are a lot of learning experiences. The work is very hands on, and remembering all of the key steps to the job keeps you on your toes and keeps your mind sharpened because remembering certain things can be a matter of life and death, although it can get a bit stressful. Overtime is cool. Comradery comes with the territory. We're located in the beautiful island of St. Croix so, you can't beat working in paradise, right next to the ocean, especially when festival times comes around. Weather is beautiful, a bit hot, but nice nonetheless. You get to meet alot of people that come on the ships from different countries around the world.
Cons
The pay could be higher for sure. Working in a aoil refinery/terminal can be dangerous. High stress situations and days sometimes. Hard work in the field in the hot weather can definitely get to you, turning tight valves and climbing up and down tanks, running around all day. 3rd shift is a killer, especially when its 12 hour shifts.
