Pros

I really respected the former CEO, Jeff Tennyson. He genuinely cared about Lima and the people who worked there.

Cons

After Josh Woodward took over and promoted Bill, the culture shifted into more of a “good old boys” environment, where poor treatment from leadership became normalized and there was a growing disconnect between leaders and the employees doing the day-to-day work. Layoffs have been ongoing for several years, and while the company once had a strong base of talent, many of the people I worked with have either been laid off or have chosen to leave. It also didn’t reflect well when the company moved into a high-end new building following multiple rounds of layoffs. More recently, it seems that many of the remaining employees are being promoted to Senior Vice President roles, which, frankly, doesn’t align with the scope of experience or responsibilities typically associated with those titles. This seems like a grasp at straws to maintain the remainig talent they have, but certainly questionable leadership decision making. It’s disappointing to see Lima now, especially given the company’s original potential.

Pros

The people here are terrific. Everyone cares and puts a high level of effort into what they do. I've both developed my career here and built an outstanding network with many lifelong friends of other talented people in the Greenville community.

Cons

Never a dull moment. There's always a challenge to meet (new systems, processes, dealing with other departments that have differing goals). Not for the faint of heart, but career growth potential here is tremendous if you're ready to roll up your sleeves.

Pros

- Office environment is fun with the right team. A lot of my coworkers have become legitimate friends outside of work. - Prime spot in downtown Greenville - Good benefits/plenty of PTO options especially as you gain tenure. - Managers who are flexible and sensitive to things happening outside of work (depending on your team/manager).

Cons

- Constant revolving door; they struggle to retain top talent. - Two major layoff periods in less than a year brings great concern about the long-term future of the company. This is on top of plenty of people who are already voluntarily leaving for other jobs. Zero transparency about how the company is hurting. - Disconnect between top level leadership and the folks doing the day-to-day grind is massive. They do not know what you do and won't take the 30 minutes to come sit at your desk to simply ask or be inquisitive.
